"Faceless Artist," Sun Mu who escaped from North Korea in 1998 produced paintings that depict his imagery and irony toward North Korean leader, Kim Jung Il II. His art and propaganda was going to be shown in the Busan Biennial, but was taken out last minute because it may raise eyebrows and cause further conflict in the reunion of the countries. Nevertheless, Sun Mu will remain faceless to avoid embarrassment or endangerment for his family. Sun Mu was in the North Korean army and a part of his function there was also to paint war images and power of North Korea.
