German artist Sandro Kopp captures on the classicism of still life, nude painting and portraiture. Living in New York city and working with real live models, his oil paintings Kopp explores the malleable state of human identity and personality. His focus on the subject matter is usually very descriptive and evokes some sort of emotion depicted in their eyes. What is makes it more interesting is that he places them before an undefined background, hence making his painted subjects a new, independent entity: a form of its own.
