Seattle artist Charles Krafft believes:
"Contemporary art should be relevant to our lives and experiences. The time we live in produces curious and splendid souvenirs of the events we live through."
The artist utilizes existing materials and traditional techniques of decorative Delft ceramic painting to explore the sometimes-Orwellian realities of our times. He conveys strong and bold imagery of our society today, reflecting on natural and socio-political catastrophes that are bombarding the harmony and piece of mankind. The imagery is not only pure decoration, it has a purpose. Nevertheless, his ironic depictions come in commemorative plates and plaques to porcelain weapons and ammunition.
