Olafur Eliasson's Take Your Time exhibition was mind-blowing. It was definitely a noteworthy experience that challenges your perception. With his dynamic sculptural pieces and other light installations, Eliasson lays it out for us to sample his use of optical illusions. The title of the exhibition explains it all. Ways of seeing can be altered--and it is only a matter of time that the complexity of each medium projects an even more convoluted reflection. Overall, it is a multi-sensory experience that confronts the notion of time, place and self. My personal favorite was the One way color tunnel and the wall installations. Straight forward and brilliant!
The exhibition is currently showing at Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago and will be on view until September 13th, 2009.
