Upcoming Exhibition: Rotating Shelters

Wolfgang Winter and Berthold Horbelt's Rotating Shelters at the Willem Arntsz Huis will be launching Thursday, September 3, 2009 at Altrecht followed by the artists' presentation atCentraal Museum. The three structures placed in a triangular position function as a resting and meeting place where one can relax and be in touch with their environment. While the three pavilions encourage social interaction, they also offer protection from the wind and rain. The entrance door constantly changes and is adjustable by those who are in it--encouraging privacy and change of scenery. You got it, you can either switch views facing any direction you want: facing other pavilions, the opposite direction, facing the sun or simply avoiding all kinds of weather.
