I was quite taken by these images taken by Brooklyn based photographer, Dina Litovsky. The play of lost and wandering civilization against the emptiness of the dessert is quite poetic. The gusts of sand overwhelming the subjects reminds us just how powerful and captivating nature is. The alarming mixture of silence, disorientation, navigation and freedom is undoubtedly lyrical, leading us into a peep show into the world of the nomadic.
At the end, we are all helpless beings and we give in to the beauty of the wilderness. Litovsky's photographic series, Whiteout, is a reminder that beauty is in the eyes of the beholder.
